Let Me Be Serious for a Moment
Ladies, this is a call especially to you. Those of you with daughters, sisters, nieces, female cousins, goddaughters, etc this is an emergency. Grab these girls, regardless of how old they are; tell them how beautiful they are and how talented they are and how capable they are of achieving any and everything they could possibly dream of. The younger, the better-- start telling these girls from birth because ladies, heed my words: If we don't tell the young girls we love how great they are, then they'll start looking for a boy to do so! Do you want a boy to have that much control over a girl's head? How about your little girl's head? I didn't think so.... we need to shout it from the rooftops, print it on tee shirts, make up bumper stickers and everything else we can possibly do to work hard in building the self-esteem of African American girls. I ensure you that if we can accomplish this in one little girl, then we've changed one little girl's life! Please take this to heart.

You are so right. I have seen too many girls in the US and now in the DR get with bad men, older men or just a man period trying to find the love that they never got from their fathers- weither they were in their lives or not.
Yo have inspired me to get a tshirt made.
Keep up the good work in Law School
